Replevin

Replevin is a type of repossession. However, replevin is conducted by a sheriff with a court order. Repossession does not require a court order as the right to repossess is set out in the contract between the lender and the purchaser.

What happens if I refuse to comply with the sheriff's replevin attempts?

You will probably be arrested for disobeying a court order and help in contempt.
